When the vegan thing's over, I'll do some heat to head testing with these different methods and take pictures.

Ever since this was posted I have actually made an excellent steak every single time! We had steak, baked potatoes and fennel last night and it was terrific. I cannot emphasize enough how forever grateful for this steak tip.
