I wonder if this is a new trend?

Feel free to post any other PDX area restaurants (skip chains like Mickey D's please) that are showing up on Facebook.

I don't agree when places have a profile instead of a page. Do it right.

Yep, my wife set up our facebook fan page. There are probably a lot more with MySpace, just because of its age, but MySpace is for the ADD generation.

via WWeek:

With the Restaurant Apocalypse ... gobbling local eateries up left and right, it’s nice to see locals fighting back for their favorite spots.

Portlander Stephen Vincent Lee Meeneghan is one of those stalwart eaters, he recently created a new Facebook group dedicated to saving longtime Southeast Portland breakfast spot Junior’s Cafe.

“Juniors Cafe, the source of SE Portland’s gustatory glory, is in jeopardy,” he posted about his new group, called “ˇSave Juniors!.” “Only you and all your friends can save Juniors from closing. The fate of breakfast is now on your plate - will you eat it?”

Heh, DirtyScheetz started the Teardrop page, and in response I created the Clyde Common page. Though I'm technically the admin, I haven't looked at this in like a year.

Unrelated, but I also started up the Portland Beavers baseball fan page, and likewise I haven't looked at in a year. Looks like it's up to 200 fans!
