I've had the same problems, lets see if this works....(and if not, what am I doing wrong?)

Instead of the image that you posted, I'm only seeing the phrase "IPB Image." I think that this means the URL (link) pointing to your image is no longer valid.

Thanks, John. I have a Flikr account and am trying to use that to post pictures. The address I get when I look at a picture looks like this one

http://www.flickr.co...57602121038197/

It doesn't work for posting. When I tried to configure it like St. Maximo's. with the on either end and adding s.jpg in there (I really have NO idea what I'm doing and what this all means), it didn't work. Do I need some other web account to post pictures to and then get them off of there to post them here?

By the way, I just got an iPod a few months ago and love it. I had no problem figuring that out at all!
At least I can cook...

Okeh doke.

When you're on the flickr detail page (that is, the page that is dedicated to a single photograph of yours)(like, let's say, http://www.flickr.com/photos/vj_pdx/2250734922/), just above the photo, there are a number of greyed links. You want to click on the magnifying glass next to All Sizes ( http://www.flickr.co...734922/sizes/l/ )

Now you can choose how large you want the image to be. It's a good idea to not have the image be more than 800 wide, because that'll make those of us with older computer have a side scroll.

So if I wanted to have the medium size, click on Available Sizes: Medium. Now.... right click on the Download the Medium Size and copy link location.

Now when you get here (or whereever you want to post the image), you can just click the Tree photo icon or use the img tags and when it asks for a URL, just paste it in.

You know it's a good URL when it ends with .jpg, .gif, or .png -- these are all graphics formats. If it ends in a number, in Flickr, that means the detail page.

Like I said, when my brother's house burned down, we uploaded a million pictures just to make sure we didn't lose them. Image descriptions, ha ha! Moeraki is in New Zealand and the boulders are really cool.

Thanks for your help!

I can't believe they aren't related to petrified whale snot (or whale kidney stones- owww). Esp with the view of that broken up one...

Well, she's 5'2" around a 130 pounds, brown hair, glasses... oh wait, I was discriping myself B)

The fruit tart however looks delicious and I'd love to hear how you made it. I need to do something with some huckleberries that I picked and froze this summer and this looks perfect.

Thanks,

Ok, so now you're gonna have to tell us about the tart...

I cook for a group of about 12 people, used to be monthly until 2 of the couples had babies, and made the mistake of leaving "La Patisserie de Pierre Herme" sitting on the counter. One of the women looked through it and pointed at the Chocolate and Raspberry Tart on page 214 and asked me to make it for the next dinner. So I did. It was fun to do and had the bonus of extra doughs for all the pieces, which I froze and had fun using in other combinations, getting lots of mileage out of my work.

It's a sweet shortdough crust, a layer of ganache, a chocolate sponge cake layer, more ganache, a layer of raspberries, and some cocoa nougatine. Just a simple, light dessert.....

Did I read some where that with the most current site updates we now have the ability to post images from our computer, i.e. they no longer have to be existing images on the web that we link to in our posts? If so, how do I do this? I went to "attachments" and tried to upload the image, and it's telling me:

Attachment space used 466.07K of 500K
Upload failed. The file was larger than the available space
Max. single upload size: 33.93K

What does "attachment space used" mean? I'm asking because I don't think I have any photos posted elsewhere on this site (or maybe I do and can't remember?).

Also, I have to imagine that a lot of the great shots I see posted here are more than 34k in size?

Help! Thanks! Jennifer

Reading this thread & attempting to learn how to post images from Flickr
<img src="http://farm5.static....f6c70c26_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="cherry_cloufutti" />

EDIT: Okay, that didn't work. I'll re-read and try again.
