Ideas for next month? Dates? Restaurants? Crawl? Let's get it started! :)

Hey, weren't we talking about some Korean hot pot place last November? We never got around to it and a chilly November night with some good soup sounds good. What was the name of the place? I'm thinking a sit down meal as opposed to a crawl this time and an evening midweek. How about later in the month like Nov. 23 of 24th? Input Peeps?

THIS IS JILL-O, not Calabrese...

Do you mean Hot Pot City? I love that place.

http://www.hotpotpdx.com

They're open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Lunch is around $7/$7.50 or so, dinner is around $13. There is a lot more seafood at dinner, making it worth the higher price.

There's also parking there, with an enterance on SW 1st.

If that's what you're talking about, it sounds great to me...when?

Oops. I have a sticky note over that day on my calendar. The week before or after then. Wednesday or thursday? And yes, Hot Pot City.

This sounds good to me. I'm chilly today and would like to get IN a hot pot. An evening works better for us, especially if there's off-street parking.

I've been wanting to try Hot Pot City so count me in. I can do Wed or Thurs either the week before Thanksgiving or the week after. I'm flexible so I'll be there regardless of the date.

Jill-O again...

Nov. 30th (Wed. after Thanksgiving) or Dec. 1 (the Thurs. after) is fine with me. It's a great post-holiday-gorging meal, after all.

P.S. - This site is great for when you want to look at a calendar online:

This sounds like the perfect thing for a November get together. I cannot do the 30th, though, as I have a very important, solid, civic commitment the last Wednesday of each month. How about another night and I'm game!

Best regards,

Amanda

I can do it after the 25th, any day. Before TG would be fine too, but not Wednesday the 23--too close! Sounds like fun.

Since Amanda can't make it on the 30th, shall we push it out just a day and do it on December 1? I know it's supposed to be a November outing, but I'd be OK with being flexible and meeting up for dinner on the 1st.

(This is Jill-O)

OK then, December 1st at Hot Pot City...

Shall we say 6pm?

And Zukin, can you calendar it so it shows up on the left under upcoming events, please? Thanks!

Sounds good. Jill, would you be willing to check in with the folks at Hot Pot City and talk about reserving tables so that we all sit together?

We're in. For those who haven't gone to their website and need the address, it's:

1975 S.W. 1st Ave. Suite J

Jill, where exactly is the parking lot?

I'm not Jill but I know where it is located :D . Hot Pot City is in a little strip mall. There's a Plaid Pantry on one end and Hot Pot City is on the other end. The parking lot runs along the front of the building and you have to pull into it to get to Hot Pot City. I don't think you can really see Hot Pot City from the road so look for the Plaid Pantry sign and you'll be in the right place.
