It will be monday April 25th from 6-9 pm with doors opening to those with VIP tickets at 5 pm. VIP tickets are $95 and general admission $70 ($80 if bought at the door). It was a fabulous event last year.

Thanks Pam. I left them a message. Anyone else who wants to call and offer our services as volunteers, please do so. It was great last year.

What time frame do they need the volunteers for and what all do the volunteers do at this??? Just take down and break apart like Leopoldo did? Do they have any earlier volunteer opportunities. Is free food included? I know you guys had a good time last year and it does sound like a good time. Please let me know. Thanks so much.

Best regards,

Amanda

Yep, food was included. There are other options. You can set up (happens during a weekday) or help out during, too, I believe.

Count us both in. We can tear down, or whatever.

I got the email address of the person in charge, so hopefully they'll contact me.

Niki, can you PM me your email and phone number. They need it. I'm signing up for tear down, which is from 9p-11p. Setup is from 8a-11a. You can choose whichever. I like tear down because after all that food it's nice to get off my ass and work off some calories. I need to know as soon as possible who else wants to do this.

Hi Nick!

My hopes and dreams of getting into Taste of the Nation with a "real" ticket are dashed, so I'm going to see if I can get the day off for this and help with set-up and then attend the event in the evening. Tearing down will go too late for me, so I'd like to volunteer in the A.M. I will let you know if I can get the day off approved so you can let them know if I'm volunteering or not. Thanks!

Best regards,

Amanda

Hello!

YES! I just got approved to have the day off on Monday, 4/25, so you've got at least one body to represent PortlandFood.org in the volunteer set-up arena for Taste of the Nation. I'll Private Message you with the pertinent information, Nick!

Best regards,

Amanda

I'm slow but get there eventually! Just read about this event . . . any more volunteers needed for before, during, or after :?: Right now, I have nothing on my calendar and would be happy to help set-up, or serve, or break-down. Any suggestions? Sabra

I know I'll be there bright and early for the set-up and then again for the main event in the evening. I'm wearing casual clothes for the set-up as Allison suggested, but what's the dress code for the main event? Black Tie? Pretty fancy? Business Casual? I've never been so I need some advice.

I'm looking forward to volunteering for this! It will be a lot of fun!

Best regards,

Amanda

It ranges from business casual to nicer.

I'll be working the breakdown, but will definitley be there to taste all! Since I am a newbie and may not recognize some of you from the Carafe dinner, if you recognize me, please come up and (re) introduce yourself!

Looking forward to it!

Do we just go in the main entrance? What time does it begin, 5pm?

Yeah, just go the main entrance and tell them you're a volunteer. At least that's what we did last year. Yes, it starts at 5pm, mostly for VIPs, I think.
