NE 76th and Glisan (across from Bui Tofu).

I stopped in today after shopping at Bui Tofu. Maybe the best banh mi and banh bao I've eaten (though my range has been limited). Everything tasted very fresh and a little more gourmet than usual.

We tried this place yesterday. We tried the bahn bao (pictured above) and really liked it. We also had a chicken bahn mi and a grilled pork bahn mi. I really liked their fresh baked bread, and would go back for that all the time if I lived closer. The sandwiches both had a generous filling of meat. Of the two, the pork was better. Both sandwiches had a layer of pâté which was good, but overall I thought their flavor lacked zing. Both were lite on the fresh cilantro and the sliced jalapeño wasn't hot. I'll have to go back to try the meatball and BBQ pork.
