VIP Tickets Offer Tastes from Pok Pok, Paley’s Place, Toro Bravo,

Multnomah Whiskey Library and More

From Lucky Charm Ice Cream and Fried Chicken Lollipops to Fluffernutter and Chocolate Milk, Portland’s culinary community will put an updated spin on their favorite childhood foods at Share our Strength’s 27th annual Taste of the Nation® on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at McMenamins Crystal Ballroom in downtown Portland.  Using the theme “What My Family Ate” as inspiration, more than 60 food and beverage artisans will help raise money to end childhood hunger.

“I’m gratified to be part of this important cause,” says Sarah Schafer, Taste of the Nation Portland chef chair and executive chef at Irving Street Kitchen.  “For one special night, Portland’s culinary community will rally to support childhood hunger and make a difference for so many hungry families.”

Taste of the Nation Portland raises critical funds to support Share Our Strength's mission, and 100 percent of ticket sales support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger.  Local beneficiaries for Taste of the Nation Portland include Oregon Food Bank, Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and Klamath/Lake Counties Food Bank.
