Could a few of you give me your fav. late night options around town please? I feel like there's a thread on this topic somewhere but places, and hours, change so maybe it's not a bad one to revisit?

Thanks!

The old threads that I've seen for this topic are a few years old, so a new one is probably fine.

Bunk Bar for sure. I haven't been lately, but I've liked what I had at Slingshot. A couple other places that are open later are Whiskey Soda Lounge and Biwa.

Portland's not great for late-night dining, but if you have to eat late, these are all solid options:

Whiskey Soda Lounge, Thai on SE Division (Sun-Thurs midnight, Fri-Sat 1am)

http://www.whiskeysodalounge.com/home

Pine State Biscuits, southern on NE Alberta (Thurs 11pm, Fri-Sat 1am, Sun 11pm)

http://www.pinestatebiscuits.com/

Lardo East, sandwiches on SE Hawthorne (Sun-Thurs 11pm, Fri-Sat midnight)

http://lardopdx.com/east.html

Bunk Bar, sandwiches on SE Water (Sun-Thurs 11pm, Fri-Sat 1am)

http://bunkbar.com/

Luc Lac, Vietnamese on SW 2nd (Mon-Thurs midnight, Fri-Sat 4am!)

http://www.luclackitchen.com/

Robo Taco, Mexican on SE Morrison (Daily 3:30am)

https://www.facebook...201398533260717

Via Tribunali, surprisingly good pizza on SW 3rd (Mon-Thurs 11pm, Fri-Sat midnight)

http://www.viatribunali.net/index.php?page=portland

Fire on the Mountain, hot wings on SE Burnside (daily midnight)

http://www.portlandw...om/contact.aspx

Victory Bar, gastropub on SE Division (Sun-Thurs 1am, Fri-Sat 2am)

http://www.thevictorybar.com/

Biwa, ramen and yakitori on SE 9th (daily midnight)

http://www.biwarestaurant.com/

Hope that helps.

Pix Patisserie has become our go-to late night spot. Now that they have tapas, you can get your sweet and savory fix all in the same place. They're open daily from 2-2 -- which I think is sorts of nuts, but god bless 'em for being there at 1 AM whenever I want boquerones *and* a macaron.

A few other places we frequent when it's past the restaurant witching hour;

Biwa

Cartopia (I'm partial to Potato Champion, but Perriera and Pyro are good choices, too)

Spints (I think they serve their whole menu all night, but past 10 they have a really good happy hour with great deals on the bar menu)

Pambiche (open until midnight on Fri-Saturdays with a great happy hour from 10-12).

Barwares is open until 1am, 7 days a week. Here's their late night menu (10pm-1am): http://www.smallware...ateNiteMenu.pdf

Edit: That's the late night happy hour. You can get the full dinner menu until 1am too: http://www.smallware...sDinnerMenu.pdf

Cassidy's is still a good late night option downtown. Good food, decent cocktails and open until 2:30 AM

Thanks for the suggestions!

A question about Bunk Bar--if there's a show, does that mean you can't go to the bar unless you have a ticket, or is there a separate space for the music?

It's all in the same space and everyone pays the cover charge at the door. At least the cover charge is cheap!

Never heard of it until you mentioned it.  I'll keep it mind, though - thanks!

Pambiche has excellent late happy hour on weekends.

Radar, Uchu and Interurban are all good for drinks and snacks late in my neighborhood.

Have foodie family coming in late September and need some late-night options again. Any updates, since it's been two years since the last one? La Taq for sure, but any other suggestions welcomed!

If they get in enough before midnight, both Country Cat and the Observatory in Montavilla are open til midnight. I love hitting Noraneko after midnight.

I like hitting Noraneko after midnight because that block is lively and awake while everything else in that area is long closed. 2 doors down is a venue space, so when a band is playing, it lights up the area.

I like that they have some beer/cider on tap, and a healthy selection of beer.

While I can't find anything about it on the website, the couple of times I've gone after midnight, I've gotten happy hour pricing.

And yes, it's not the best ramen in town. But, I like that I can have ramen at 1am. Sure beats lousy pizza at 1am...

Thank you for elaborating VJ. So often people state they love (or hate) such and such a thing or place without going into detail. I'm guilty of this myself at times.

It makes perfect sense that Noraneko remain open for the after hours crowd. And yes, ramen does make for a perfect late night snack. I have it in my head that we live in the same neighborhood, and in my mind I was thinking, 'Why would she go there at after 12AM when there are many other local alternatives?' I know it's irrational thinking on my behalf, but there you have it.

I must venture to Noraneko again to try their miso ramen, though I think it has to be a mid-day excursion. (I'm afraid late nights are now a thing of the past for me).
