My dad's in town this weekend and I want to show him our Dungeness crab — but his girlfriend is allergic to my dog, so we can't just boil up a few at the house. Any place serve them up? Nothing fancy, nothing stuffed or sauced or whatever — just a whole crab, some lemon butter, and a whole lot of napkins...

Salty's has them on their brunch. Not whole, but big chunks and all you can eat with butter and lots of napkins.

Salty's said that their 2 lb crab cost $50, which offended my soul. I took extramsg's suggestion and went Asian — Shen Zhen fished a crab out of the tank for us, along with a far too much other food for three people, for about that much. Portland crab accomplished!

Glad it worked out. Glad you didn't need to use an epi pen on your dad's lady friend.

For future reference, looks like The Woodsman might have worked as well.
