My favorite is the crispy chicken caesar tacos. I hear kids eat for free on Sundays.

WTF? - Fryer Tuck

About a year or two ago I was working on a project that I didn't end up having the time to publish, a "cheap fried chicken" survey. Fryer Tuck was the clear winner, imo. I compared all the places doing broaster chicken, like Reel Em Inn, Pink Feather, Chicken Little, and Fryer Tuck, plus places like Popeye's, Church's (there's one in Vancouver) and even KFC. It's changed hands from several years ago and what they do now is quite tasty, crisp with lots of seasoning. And their jo-jos are far and away the best in town, imo.

I'll concede that it's been several years since I've been there and I'll defer to your more recent and in depth research.

BTW, Forty three years ago when I first got to PDX Fryer Tuck was wonderful. There were several stores around town and it was really a great local place. Glad to hear that it's rebounded.

this has made me want to go try those noodles at chinese delicacy as well as hit grandpas cafe (which i never even knew existed)

If you hit Chinese Delicacy, be sure and order the Kim Chi - It's the main reason I go there.

I counter with the meatballs and pan-fried dumplings.

I'd forgotten about the dumplings and I agree. I've not had the meatballs and it's been too long since I've been - I'll have to hit it up and try them.

Wednesday's special is your gay friend doing a dinner theatre style live sex show with Shirley Phelps.

Just noticed a pretty glaring omission: the gigantic $8.95 bowl of Saimin at Ate-Oh-Ate.

Agreed. The housemade fish cake is a nice touch.
