hi everyone,
a group of friends and i are planning on being at the horse brass tomorrow around noon. some are die hards, others are there for the spectacle. if anyone is wishing to find something to do on a predictably grey saturday afternoon, message me and you are welcome to join.

i have to travel this weekend and won't be able to see any games, nor will i be near the internet--does anyone know of a free SMS score updating service i could use?

I'm afraid I know virtually nothing about sms, but would this help?

Yahoo/Fifa Matchcast

This might be useful as well.

ooh, it's so early. Sorry we're not there with you folks, but we slept in. Hope you are enjoying a pint, while I am sipping tea in my jammies cheering for England.

Next time!

Hey Hugo, welcome to the site.

I think the best places to watch are Horse Brass, Moon and Six, and, sometimes, Kell's.

I stopped by La Villa (8th and SE Morrison) for a sandwich yesterday, and I walked in just as Brazil scored it's only goal in yesterdays match--that place was packed and going NUTS!!!! I'm headed there for any future Brazil games.

edit: They are promising a giant brazilian breakfast for the 9 am game this sunday and a huge buffet for the noon game this thursday. i'll be there this sunday. apparantly the owner has already called the police to tell them they should be ready to close off morrison for the party after brazil wins the whole thing :P)

ok folks, over at my blog I've posted two WC related things: my experience at La Villa during the sunday morning game, and a link to this insanely complex, crazy wierd food metaphor about the USMNT and Jamon Iberico.

i gotta say, that's the weirdest thing I've read in a long while.
