My sister and a friend are making turkey cupcakes for Thanksgiving - sadly they only LOOK like turkey and are not made out of turkey. I'll post pictures... This idea just repulses me; why mess with the greatness that is layer cake??? If I had been expecting real layer cake and got turkey and sweet potatoes, I think I would cry.

You know what this reminds me of, the crazy birthday cakes you can buy for your dog at dog bakeries. They are usually poultry flavored. I have always been super repulsed and weirded out by the idea, since I know my dog would get sick and really wouldn't appreciate it. He'd be more excited to get a bite of sausage off my plate than specially made dogs only food that hadn't been destined for his owner's mouth.

Hola Jill-O,

Estoy de acuerdo. That is compelling on a number of levels, all of them good. We may not agree on cumin and cilantro, but I am with you 100% (cien por ciento) regarding that savory turkey cake. ¡Dios mío!
